25nd Annual Meeting

Université de Fribourg - Institut de Physique Pérolles

Friday 23 January, 2009

___________________________

The 25th annual meeting, taking place at the Université de Fribourg, will cover both invited and contributed presentations in the field of applied surface and interface science. The organizers hope to attract interest as usual from academic institutions, as well as from industry. In parallel to the scientific presentations an industrial exhibition will be organized.

SAOG-prize

The 2009 SAOG-GSSI prize (together with CHF 1000.-) will be arwarded to a young researcher having completed his Ph.D. thesis within the field of surfaces and interfaces after January 1, 2007. The Ph.D. research must have been conducted at - or in collaboration with - a Swiss University, Federal Institute of Technology (ETHZ, ETPFL) or equivalent. Applications for the award (one page) should be sent together with two copies of the Ph.D. thesis to Prof. H. J. Mathieu, EPFL-IMX, Station 12, CH-1015 Lausanne, before November 10, 2008.
